Who am I?

I am a happy and positive 18-year-old guy who lives every other week in Utby (eastern Gothenburg). I have personal assistance and am now looking for a substitute for my wonderful team!

I have autism, which means that I sometimes need a little help to get started and go out for fun activities. I can do a lot on my own, but I appreciate support with things like meals, hygiene, and dressing. I understand everything you say, but I don't speak myself. However, I can sign Yes and No, and you will soon learn to recognize my sounds and signals.

I have many interests - I enjoy music, swimming, taking the bus, visiting the library, and the Trädgårdsföreningen. Riding roller coasters is one of my favorite things! I am also really good at reading maps and bus schedules.

Who are you?

You who are applying enjoy being active and keeping up with the pace! It is good if you have decent physical stamina, as the days can sometimes be fast-paced. Experience working with people with autism is a plus, but not a requirement - the most important thing is that you are calm, secure, and genuinely engaged.

I am not aggressive. Since there is a dog in the home, you need to be comfortable with animals and not allergic.

What does a work shift look like?

On weekdays, you will meet me in town when I finish school. We will take a taxi home together, eat something nice, and find something fun to do - maybe an outing using public transport, a coffee in the Trädgårdsföreningen, or a visit to the library. The day ends at my home in Utby.

About the position

Scope: approx. 25%
Working hours: Every other week (odd weeks), evenings
Schedule:

• Monday 4 PM - 8 PM
• Tuesday 4 PM - 9 PM
• Wednesday 3 PM - 8 PM
• Thursday 2 PM - 8 PM

Occasional weekend shifts may occur.
