I am looking for a personal assistant who wants to step right into my daily life – someone who enjoys the flow of the days, appreciates movement, and wants a job where they can truly make a difference.

About Me

I live in Örgryte, Gothenburg, with my family and work at Move & Walk, a daily activity center where I feel really good. When I am off, I play boccia, hang out with friends and family, and fill my days with things that give me energy and laughter. I have a CP disability and need support in both my training and in making everyday life smooth and possible.

Who I Am Looking For

You are a reliable person who enjoys teamwork and is good at reading people and situations. I communicate via a letter board, so you need to have very good Swedish – you will be my voice when I need it.

Training is a big part of my daily life, both at home and at Move & Walk. You need to be able to be on the floor, support, push, and sometimes be the one who keeps the motivation up, so it is important that you have no issues with your body.

The work also includes personal hygiene, transfers, wheelchair driving, and all the practical things that make life flow smoothly.

Working Hours

• 07:30–17:45
• 17:30–08:00 (sleeping duty 6 hours)

Other

Smoke-free workplace. A driver's license is an advantage. If you have experience in personal assistance or lifts, that's a bonus – but the most important thing is the chemistry between us, i.e., that we enjoy being together.

The position starts as a part-time employment, and if we get along well, it may transition to a fixed-term employment as long as the assistance assignment lasts, with a working degree of 70% and the possibility to work extra.

GIL has coordinated personal assistance since 1989. The cooperative has roots in the Independent Living movement, which is based on the principle that those with disabilities know best how they want to live their lives. Normally, the person entitled to assistance is the closest supervisor of the assistants, or a person with special knowledge about the person entitled to assistance is appointed.

As a personal assistant, you support a person with a disability to live the life they want to live. To attract and retain competent and satisfied assistants, we invest in training and events. • GIL has a collective agreement with Fremia-communal.
• GIL offers its employees up to 2,500 SEK/year in contributions for wellness and health.
