Make a Difference. Every Day.
Are you looking for your next career challenge where you can develop alongside engaged colleagues? Then we have the position for you! The Acute Ward Lund (AVA) is seeking nurses for a position within the third phase of the Competence and Service Model (KTM) (formerly advanced phase).
AVA is a care ward with 13 acute care beds and 4 intermediate care beds (IMA). At AVA, we work in an open work environment characterized by commitment, flexibility, and good collaboration. Our patients have mixed acute diagnoses. We provide the same advanced and complex care around the clock. The operation is seen as a higher level of care as we can offer respiratory care with non-invasive ventilation and have the capabilities for cardiac monitoring and blood pressure monitoring with arterial catheters.
In our workplace, we operate according to Region Skåne's Competence and Service Model (KTM), which provides a clear structure for your learning and career opportunities within our organization. We want you as a nurse to thrive and want to stay and develop with us. In the third phase, you are secure in all clinical positions at AVA and act as a role model working according to Region Skåne's values.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In the role of nurse with us, you see the whole patient, both in terms of medical, technical, and nursing needs. You will have a varied job where you work integrated with nursing assistants and doctors with the patient at the center.
In addition to working with standard nursing tasks and targeted assignments, you will also work with the implementation and development of KTM within the organization. You assess and map colleagues' competence development according to the development program. Furthermore, you coach and develop the nursing team's collaboration and leadership as well as conflict management. You act based on the different emergency situations and the content of the continuity plans. Additionally, you have the task of conducting internal training for staff in the unit.
In your work, you use well-founded evidence-based and experience-based knowledge in patient care and take appropriate actions and considerations regarding interventions for all patients in the care unit, regardless of health or illness status. You provide support in identifying situations where different competencies are needed or may be needed in relation to the patient's condition. Furthermore, you will develop and implement person-centered care in the unit.
As a nurse with a position in phase 3, you have a helicopter perspective and are involved in changes, as well as assisting the team with adjustments in nursing work depending on changes in flow, resources, care load, and competence.
QUALIFICATIONS
We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale is a requirement. Furthermore, you have clinical experience within the specialty of emergency care. You have met the competence requirements for phase 3 in the Competence and Service Model at AVA. You should have worked as a nurse for five years.
We would like you to have experience in emergency care, hospital care, and intermediate care. If you have experience in supervision, person-centered care, and organizational development, this is an advantage.
You who apply contribute energy and joy to your workplace and have a great interest in development, learning, nursing, and emergency care. Furthermore, you see the value of good collaboration and contribute to this yourself by sharing your knowledge and experiences. Your commitment and positive attitude contribute to a good work climate, where we all help each other and collaborate to achieve the best care quality for our patients. You have a good ability to plan and prioritize, which allows you to adapt to changing conditions and new situations that are part of our everyday life. For you, it is natural to represent the organization and the employer, which among other things means that you share Region Skåne's values; welcoming, driving, caring, and respect. We place great importance on personal suitability and commitment to patient-centered care.
