Personal Assistant in Central Gothenburg – 70%

I am looking for a personal assistant who wants to be a part of my daily life – someone who enjoys an active environment, appreciates exercise, and believes that a job should feel meaningful.

Who am I?

I live in central Gothenburg with my family and work at Move & Walk, a daily activity center where I truly thrive. In my free time, I play boccia, engage in activities with friends and family, and enjoy filling my days with energizing activities. I have a CP disability and need support in both training and practical aspects of life, and that’s where you come in.

Who are you?

You are a stable and warm person who enjoys collaborating and has a knack for reading situations. Since I communicate via a letter board, you need to have excellent Swedish – you will be the one who helps me make my voice heard.

I train often, both at home and at Move & Walk. If you enjoy being active, can join me on the floor for training, and can be a supportive sounding board (especially on days when motivation is low), you will fit in well here. The role also includes personal hygiene, transfers, operating a wheelchair, and other tasks that facilitate daily life.

The Practicalities

Working hours:

• 07:30–17:45
• 17:30–08:00 (sleeping on-call 6 hours)

Smoke-free workplace. A driver's license is a plus. Experience with lifts or personal assistance is advantageous – but the most important thing is that we click.

We start with hourly employment. If we get along, there is an opportunity for a fixed-term position as long as the assistance assignment lasts at 70%, and you can also get extra shifts when needed.

The cooperative has roots in the Independent Living movement, which is based on the principle that those with disabilities know best how they want to live their lives. Typically, the person receiving assistance is their assistants' closest supervisor, or a person with in-depth knowledge of the individual receiving assistance is appointed.
