JOB DESCRIPTION

As a program leader in the probation service, you will be employed as a probation inspector and work with treatment programs for clients who are currently under probation.

The position involves conducting program activities for clients across the entire operational area. You will be placed at a probation office but may work at a different location from your colleagues and supervisor. You will work independently and support other program leaders with their clients. Daily work will primarily involve digital contact with clients, as well as participating in meetings such as progress meetings and other meetings digitally.

The treatment programs are conducted with high quality and according to the principles of evidence-based practice. They are primarily based on cognitive behavioral therapy. We use treatment programs for crime, violence, substance abuse, and sexual and relationship violence. The combined program offerings mean that you will lead several different programs. Our program offerings mainly consist of individual programs, but group programs may occur. Although the treatment programs are conducted individually, teamwork and participation in collegial supervision are a significant part of the job.

The role includes close collaboration with the probation inspectors handling the cases, so that the treatment program is integrated with other interventions made during the client's enforcement. The position also includes administrative tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is secure, stable, and has good self-awareness. You have a good understanding of how people absorb knowledge and adapt your way of conveying messages according to the recipient's conditions. In your professional practice, you have good judgment and integrity. As a probation inspector, you need to have good collaboration skills and be able to communicate clearly. You should also have a physical condition that allows you to act physically if the situation requires it.

Requirements

• Academic degree (at least bachelor's level), preferably in behavioral science, law, social work, or social sciences, or other academic education combined with experience deemed relevant by the Swedish Prison and Probation Service.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.
• Driver's license (B)?
• Good computer skills.

Meritorious

• Well-rated work experience in corrections, social care, psychiatry, or health and social care.
• Experience in correctional work.
• Experience in investigative work.
• Experience working with digital tools.
• Experience working with the target group of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service.
• Experience in documentation and case management.
• Experience or interest in program activities.
