Functional Support is responsible for activities for people with disabilities in Orust municipality based on decisions according to LSS. For us, it is important that we collectively belong to a context where people's needs and respectful treatment are at the center. The primary task of the operation is to promote equality in living conditions and full participation in community life for people with disabilities.

In our work-oriented daily activities, we work together with participants who have support according to LSS. Our mission is to provide support, structure, and guidance in tasks that contribute to participation, independence, and pride.

Together with the participants, we run the café at the school, and we assist with various tasks around the school's operations. The environment is lively, social, and filled with opportunities – both for participants and staff.

Your tasks

As a support educator, you are an important part of the development of the operation. You work closely with the participants in their daily tasks, guide colleagues, and are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on individual support measures. You play a key role in creating structure, clarity, and safety – and you use pedagogical tools to strengthen each participant's abilities and self-confidence.

Your role includes, among other things:

• Guiding and supporting participants in their daily tasks.
• Contributing to maintaining high quality in the operation, both in treatment and execution.
• Documenting and following up on measures according to current routines together with your colleagues and developing the operation based on pedagogical and ethical principles.
• Working based on assignments from the management group.
• Being involved in the development within Functional Support.
• Actively participating in the internal support educator networks.

About you

We are looking for someone who:

• Has post-secondary education as a support educator, or equivalent education in social work, pedagogy, or care and welfare.
• Has experience working within LSS or another operation with a similar target group.
• Has a good ability to motivate, inspire, and adapt support according to individual needs.
• Has a structured and solution-focused working method and is confident in your professional role.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience in work-oriented daily activities or work in café/service operations.
• Knowledge of clear pedagogical methods, AAC, PERMA, and low-arousal approaches.
• Good computer skills and experience with documentation.
