About the American High School

About the American High School, Stockholm - Campus Frescati Hage

By Brunnsviken in the picturesque Norra Djurgårdsstaden, we started a high school in the fall of 2023. The school is now in its third academic year and has approximately 450 students studying in the Natural Sciences, Economics, or Social Sciences programs. The teaching is conducted in both English and Swedish by a competent teaching staff with a strong sense of community.

About the Role

As a teacher, you will teach our students in natural sciences. You will be responsible for planning, executing, assessing, and evaluating your own teaching. You are expected to lead lessons based on our pedagogical structure, for which you will receive guidance. You will work closely with a dedicated and cohesive teaching team, where collaboration and collegial learning are integral parts of everyday life. You will teach in a digital environment using digital teaching materials in combination with traditional literature. Instruction will be conducted in Swedish with elements of English.

The position is a temporary role at 30%, with a possible increase to 75% in January 2026. Start date as soon as possible.

Your Profile

We are primarily looking for someone with a teaching certification and experience in teaching, who is qualified to teach chemistry. You have a strong commitment to teaching and want to help develop the operations together with a strong team of colleagues, sharing our pedagogical vision:

We are looking for someone who leads in line with our motto “Frames & Hugs,” which means clear leadership and clear rules combined with a strong care for each student. With your energy, attentiveness, and perseverance, you find it easy to engage and create participation towards collectively set goals. Teamwork and transparency are key principles.

You are expected to have good communication skills in both Swedish and English, in both spoken and written forms. You have the ability to use a wide range of digital teaching materials and possess a solid digital competence.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
