Treatment Secretary at SiS Youth Home Gudhemsgården

The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people and adults with substance abuse issues. SiS also implements secure youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse across the country. At SiS, your work life will be an exciting challenge. SiS Youth Home Gudhemsgården receives non-school-attending boys with psychosocial issues, criminality, and substance abuse. SiS Youth Home Gudhemsgården has just undergone an organizational change, from LVM care to LVU care, and is now in an exciting phase of development. Currently, the institution consists of three departments but will expand to five departments with a total of 30 places over the coming year.

Job Description

We offer an interesting and pleasant workplace with varied and stimulating tasks. As a treatment secretary, you are an active part of the team's dynamic work with target group assessments by working with structured risk, needs, and receptivity assessments. You are also responsible for ensuring that the youth receive the right interventions in accordance with the assignment, establishing treatment plans, and working to involve the young person in their treatment. The treatment secretary follows up on treatment goals and the documentation of the interventions. The treatment secretary convenes and leads meetings regarding the young person's placement and is a central part of leading the work with care interventions. The work is done in collaboration with the social services of the placing municipalities and the institution's various expert functions such as psychologists, teachers, special educators, nurses, and treatment pedagogues. An important part of your role includes supervision and coaching for treatment staff in their daily work and ensuring that documentation is done in accordance with guidelines.

The work is varied and requires flexibility and responsibility. This means that you are a structure bearer, meticulous, and organized. You understand the value and context of collaboration; it is natural for you to guide and support your colleagues. You are the initiator who anchors and implements decisions.

You will have primary responsibility for one of our departments where the assignments vary. The departments have either a pure treatment assignment or assignments involving reception and needs assessment.

Qualifications

  • Relevant academic education as a social worker or other behavioral science education deemed equivalent by the employer, comprising at least 180 credits.
  • Documented experience of independent planning work and, if possible, leadership experience to implement planned interventions together with other professional groups.
  • Experience working with youth and/or institutional care is an advantage, as is training in structured risk and needs assessment instruments.

As a person, you are interested in driving and developing care for youth, keeping informed about current research, and managing complex assignments. You should also be able to handle stressful situations, have the courage to set boundaries, and be consistent.

Employment:

The position is a permanent full-time employment that begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement.
