The Welfare Unit is now seeking committed and driven social workers. Do you have a degree in social work and social law, as well as experience and knowledge in financial assistance? Then you are the person we are looking for!

The Employment Administration organizes socially important activities within social services and the labor market and works purposefully to ensure that as many residents of Borås as possible achieve and approach self-sufficiency. The administration has about 240 employees and is responsible for and finances approximately 350 labor market political positions.

At the Welfare Unit, social workers thrive and work who believe in people's own abilities and who focus on the individual. Our philosophy is that change occurs in the meeting with the person. For nearly a decade, we have developed a unique working method where personal meetings with clients have become a crucial part of our success. We work relationship-building and systematically design support and follow-up based on our profession to help individuals achieve their goals.

Another success factor in our concept is well-established routines where we have built a clear structure and guidelines for our work. Many changes are currently taking place in our profession - not least against the backdrop of digital development, where we have recently launched our new digital platform for digital applications for financial assistance.

We are a large and wonderful team of over 45 employees with three unit managers. We work in bright and pleasant premises in central Borås, and all social workers have their own office.

Your main task is to investigate applications for financial assistance and work towards self-sufficiency.

Your work is based on the legislation and knowledge support that exists. In your work, you may collaborate with colleagues in the city and external partners such as the region, social insurance agency, and employment agency.

You are a qualified social worker or have other education that the employer assesses as equivalent. You have a broad worldview and good communication skills, with the aim of creating good relationships. It is important for you to act professionally, and you feel a strong commitment to your work. You should have the ability to structure your work. For the assignment, you must be able to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. Knowledge of languages other than Swedish is an advantage.
