About the position

The tasks involve proactive marketing of the Örebro region in accordance with planned focus areas where the region has its strengths in logistics, industry, and total defense. The work spans everything from land and development issues to proactive activities with property developers and companies on both a national and international level. You will be part of a team where you, together with your colleagues, package offers and have the opportunity to represent Business Region Örebro in national and international contexts.

Examples of tasks:

• identify investment opportunities and drive proactive work towards potential actors both nationally and internationally
• develop, package, and present regional business opportunities for various target groups
• carry out establishment processes and project manage together with relevant municipalities, from the first meeting to completed establishment
• build and maintain strong relationships with companies, municipalities, authorities, and relevant actors
• represent Business Region Örebro in networks, at fairs, and in national/international contexts

About the workplace

Business Region Örebro is the county's investment promotion organization based on partnerships between its 12 municipalities and Region Örebro County. We are a small organization in constant change where you as an employee are expected to participate and contribute to its development. The position is located in the Business Department at Örebro Municipality.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you have a natural interest in business and community development in general. You enjoy working in a team with others, are relationship-building, and motivate others to achieve common goals. To succeed, you need to be a curious, unpretentious, and initiative-taking person who appreciates a varied job. You are engaged and enjoy giving presentations, and since the work requires travel during certain periods, a certain degree of flexibility is expected.

Requirements:

• academic degree or equivalent education in a relevant field
• experience in investment/establishment work, business development, project management, land/development, or sales
• very good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing
• Driving license B

Meritorious:

• experience working with establishment/investment processes
• experience in international business relations
• ability to build larger networks, develop and deepen relationships within them
• experience from similar assignments in the municipal/public sector
