About the Position

If so, you are welcome to apply for the position of Service Manager at the Operations Unit in the Swedish Armed Forces' Telecommunications and Information Systems Command (FMTIS), located in Örebro or Arboga.

Main Responsibilities

As a Service Manager, you will work with a larger number of services across all branches of the military, where you will be the cohesive force for the organization's delivery and write agreements that define and describe the specific commitment. You will coordinate and ensure that the organization has the right conditions when new services are added or when changes to existing services occur.

You will belong to the Production Department, which is responsible for developing, describing, and following up on our processes with the goal of having functioning systems that meet the agreed requirements. You will be part of an engaged section consisting of service managers, managers, technical project coordinators, and production administrators who all work together within established processes. You will collaborate with various parts of our organization, such as orderers, operations, service desk, and management.

Other Responsibilities Include:

  • Participating as a representative in preparation meetings
  • Creating and maintaining agreements (SLA/OLA)
  • Creating budgets for services in the production plan
  • Continuously working on improving methods/routines for overall coordination of services and capabilities
  • Being involved in ongoing work regarding operations and maintenance plans and creating conditions for the needs in the plans to become a reality
  • Handling incoming tasks that involve production/efforts from the FMTIS staff to the FMTIS Operations Unit
  • Providing data to orderers for investment budgets regarding turnover or new procurement of materials in dialogue with the management units

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education with a focus on IT/data or equivalent knowledge assessed by the employer as equivalent
  • Good experience working in Excel and MS Office
  • Experience in delivery responsibility and collaboration with suppliers and internal customers
  • Driver's license *B* manual transmission

Meritorious:

  • Several years of work with IT systems and their components within a larger organization or authority
  • Experience working in public sector or larger companies
  • Knowledge of the Swedish Armed Forces' operational management system, financial functions, and maintenance organization
  • Project management training
  • Experience leading others without necessarily being a manager

Other:

Location: Örebro or Arboga. Periodic travel within the country may occur. It is excellent to commute from nearby locations by train/car.

Within the Swedish Armed Forces, the position is referred to as Service Manager.

We are looking for a person for this role.

The position is a permanent full-time employment as a civilian employee and begins with a six-month probationary period for those who are currently not employed by the Swedish Armed Forces.

Start date according to agreement. The target is to start in the first quarter of 2026.
