We offer an outward-facing role where you will help shape the conditions for entrepreneurship, business services, and growth – together with municipalities, the business community, and other stakeholders.

About the position

As a business developer, you will work with various issues related to the business community in close collaboration with all municipalities in the county. The focus will be on the joint effort to develop the business climate and our collaborative development work around the business climate and business services. This position is suitable for you who find it easy to create relationships and have a strong interest in community development, entrepreneurship, and business. The role includes both business contacts and organizing various collaboration meetings and forums for competence development for the municipalities within BRO.

Examples of tasks:

• collaborate with municipalities to develop business services and improve the business climate in the Örebro region
• support municipalities by working on development and collaboration regarding regulatory activities aimed at businesses based on surveys such as NKI and NUI (Customer Satisfaction Index and Procurement Satisfaction Index)
• drive the work with joint analyses and systems to streamline and improve business efforts together in the Örebro region
• close collaboration with other employees at Business Region Örebro, where you share responsibility for working on business development and marketing of the Örebro region
• represent Business Region Örebro at relevant fairs and in networks

About the workplace

Business Region Örebro is the county's investment promotion agency, based on partnerships between its 12 municipalities and Region Örebro County. We are a small organization in constant change, where you as an employee are expected to participate and contribute to its development. The position is located in the Business Development Department at Örebro Municipality.

Qualifications

We are looking for a goal-oriented and customer-focused person who evaluates decisions from a holistic perspective, enjoys working in teams, and builds trust and relationships through openness and collaboration. Your structure and planning skills are good, and you use feedback from partners for continuous organizational development. Since this role involves arranging and leading meetings, you should thrive in a visible role where the ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, and to listen actively is highly valued.

Requirements:

• academic degree or equivalent education in a relevant field
• experience in business development, project management, or similar
• very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• valid driver's license (B)

Meritorious:

• experience from working in the municipal/public sector
• experience with international contacts
• ability to build larger networks, develop and deepen relationships within them
• knowledge of the business community and the business and innovation promotion system in our region
