The Swedish Social Insurance Agency's department for sickness insurance is seeking experienced lawyers for the legal support operational area, which is part of the sickness insurance department. This area gathers all legal support for the department's employees across 59 locations in the country. The operational area consists of specialists, departmental lawyers, litigators, and reviewers.

Legal Support, Development, and Collaboration

The work as a lawyer within an insurance department entails a particular responsibility for the correct and uniform application of social insurance and other applicable legislation, such as data protection legislation. Based on legal governance, you are responsible for monitoring legal developments within the insurance area in which you operate. By being a close legal support to the processing operations and development activities, you contribute to a high legal quality. You support managers and employees in legal matters and share your knowledge. You contribute to good collaboration both within the department and with other departments, including the agency's legal department.

As a lawyer, you handle confidential information, which places high demands on proper management. Therefore, it is important that you, who will work with us, have a strong security awareness.

We are looking for someone who

  • has a law degree or equivalent qualification
  • acts on their own initiative and takes responsibility for results with high quality
  • has a systematic and meticulous working method
  • can understand and analyze complex issues
  • communicates clearly, concisely, and structured in both speech and writing
  • collaborates effectively to achieve common goals
  • has several years of experience in qualified legal work, for example, at an authority or court.

It is advantageous if you

  • have good knowledge of administrative law and social insurance law
  • have good knowledge of public access and confidentiality legislation as well as other authority law
  • have good knowledge of data protection issues
  • have knowledge in the field of sickness insurance
  • have experience in leading projects
  • have experience in conducting training sessions.

A number of positions, permanent, full-time, with start date by agreement. A probationary period may be applicable. In accordance with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's security guidelines, background checks will be conducted in this recruitment.
