Financial Controller at Actic – Join our dynamic team!

We are currently looking for a junior Financial Controller to join our finance team. The role is a temporary position for approximately 1.5 years, based at Actic's support office in Ulriksdal, Stockholm. You will be part of the Finance Team, consisting of four people, and report to the Head of Finance.

The role is a parental leave cover at 100% and we expect to fill the position during February.

Financial Controller

You will have the opportunity to join Actic during an exciting phase where your main focus will be on monitoring, analysis, and quality assurance of the company's accounting handled by an outsourcing partner in Poland. You will also work closely with our operational team on various issues, which means a broad role where an interest in the company's core business is important.

We are looking for someone with an academic background or equivalent and about 3-5 years of relevant work experience, likely from similar roles or as an accountant. You are self-driven and have a good ability to take initiative and drive things forward without needing predefined frameworks. As a person, you are unpretentious and have a natural collaboration with both colleagues and external parties. Communication is an important part of the role, and we value that you are social, curious, and want to understand the whole picture – not just the accounting, but also the business, the customer, and the operations behind the numbers.

Main Responsibilities

• Coordinate the closing process and control and quality assure the delivery of financial statements.
• Act as a daily link between Actic and the external team in Poland regarding questions about closing, invoices, and billing.
• Handle ongoing questions primarily regarding accounting, VAT, and taxes, but also questions about leasing and rental agreements.
• Be responsible for preparing annual reports for the group's smaller subsidiaries.
• Support the rest of the organization and ensure that the operational perspective is included in the accounting management.
• Work closely with the Head of Finance on closing, internal control, or other accounting issues.
• Conduct investigations and balance sheet reconciliations, as well as analysis of key items.
• Drive and participate in development projects within the function.

The role is based at Actic's support office in Solna and reports to the Head of Finance. The support office in Solna is characterized by a family-like atmosphere and high engagement. About 30 people work here, supporting operations and developing the business together.
