Unika LSS Medevigatan group home is centrally located and focuses on LSS 9:9 person group 1. It is a residence with 5 apartments. We are now looking for an employee who can take on the role of coordinator and support pedagogue in our unit.
About the Role of Support PedagogueWe are now looking for a person who can take on the role of coordinator and support pedagogue.
As a support pedagogue, you will provide support and service based on the residents' wishes, both at home and in leisure activities. You should contribute to ensuring that the resident has the opportunity for an active and meaningful life. Furthermore, you should be able to address each person's individual needs and conduct pedagogical work based on this.
You need to be strong in methodology, with a focus on individualized support. Inspire, coach, and support colleagues. Since the needs vary among users, no day is the same, which contributes to a challenging and exciting job.
You will work closely with your colleagues and have a significant responsibility to, in consultation with the operations manager, drive and develop the pedagogical work in the organization. Some delegated health and medical care tasks are included in the work.
Some administrative tasks at the organizational level are also included. You will be part of a network of support pedagogues or coordinators with regular meetings a couple of times per term.
About the Role of Coordinator.
In the role of coordinator, you primarily work to provide support and service based on the residents' wishes and to give each individual a meaningful everyday life, based on a pedagogical approach. It also includes some supervisory responsibilities. You will also work with administrative tasks such as scheduling, staffing, quality improvements, risk assessments, and documentation.
You will have close cooperation with the operations manager and a close contact with the employee group. Your role will be central in supporting the daily operations of the organization. You provide support and service both at home and in leisure activities and develop the pedagogical support based on the individual's needs.
The position is 100% and the working hours will be scheduled on a rolling basis, distributed across mornings, days, evenings, and weekends. The role of coordinator is combined with the role of support pedagogue, which means that you will partly work with support measures together with our main individuals in their daily lives.
Tasks:
- Knowledge of methodology for the target group (AAC, Clear Pedagogy, Low-Arousal Approach)
- Good collaboration skills
- Experience in planning and prioritizing time and efforts.
- Computer skills
- Experience in documentation
Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
You should be engaged, flexible, and able to work in a structured manner. Solution-focused, driving development work together with the manager and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Degree from the support pedagogue education 200 YH points or 60 HP in pedagogy.
- Experience and knowledge of the target group LSS adults person group 1.
- Basic knowledge of household tasks such as nutrition and hygiene.
- Computer skills and good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
It is an advantage if you also have
- Experience in leadership
- Knowledge of TAKK
- Experience working with individuals with autism and challenging behavior.
- Experience working with individuals with complex psychosocial behavioral issues.
- Experience in clear communication and low-arousal approach.
