The Department of Eye and Vision at St. Erik Eye Hospital is responsible for two-thirds of the teaching of all courses included in the Optometry program's basic education as well as the entire Master's program in clinical optometry.

In connection with the education, research is conducted in the field of ophthalmology, which we encourage all employees to participate in. Our operations are constantly evolving with a focus on education, research, and eye care. We are now looking for someone who wants to help drive optometric development forward and be a part of our team! Your Role

We are looking for a clinical supervisor for a 100% one-year temporary position with the possibility of extension to work in our educational activities. The role includes:

• teaching at basic and advanced levels
• administering tasks within the educational activities
• contributing time and knowledge to research projects
• organizing patient flows and tabulating data
• actively participating in the work with the strategic plan of the organization and reflecting on your and the students' learning

As a clinical supervisor, you are also encouraged to conduct research related to our own clinic and develop existing and new courses/trainings. Our operations are constantly evolving to contribute to sustainable future eye care.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone who is a licensed optometrist and has either a master's degree or experience in advanced examination techniques in eye care. Experience in clinical work as an optometrist in traditional optometry is a requirement. You should also have good knowledge of the Office suite (especially Excel) and digital platforms. Experience in course development and other leadership roles in current/former positions as well as clinical work in ophthalmology is an advantage. Fluent Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is a requirement.

Desirable competencies include being analytical and working well with complex issues, as well as being able to set high goals and work hard to achieve them.
