BUP Stockholm Section Neuropsychiatry consists of One Entry Point, as well as currently six neuropsychiatric clinics: Väst1, Väst 2, Sydost, Nordväst, Nordost, and Sydväst.

The mission is urgent and shared: to assess and treat children and young people with neuropsychiatric difficulties. With us, nurses, doctors, psychologists, medical secretaries, and managers collaborate to provide our patients with accessible, effective, and patient-centered care. The work environment at BUP Neuropsychiatry is characterized by a focus on development, high competence, and quality.

The units work with medical treatment, assessments, and investigations where the issue is neuropsychiatric difficulties.

Job Description

As a nurse, your main tasks will be to closely collaborate with doctors to initiate medication treatment after the assessment is completed, as well as to follow up on medication initiations and provide care information to guardians and patients.

Collaboration with care neighbors and partners within and outside the organization is also an important part of the job.

There is an opportunity for remote work if the operations allow, corresponding to about one day a week.

You, like all employees, are an important part of the team and have the opportunity to contribute to continuous development by participating in the ongoing development work of the organization. Currently, there are 6 other nurses at the clinic with whom you will work closely to manage incoming inquiries via TeleQ and AlltidÖppet, and who are available as support in patient work.

Qualifications

You who are applying should be a licensed nurse.

If you are specialized in psychiatry or health care for children and adolescents, it is an advantage, as well as work experience from psychiatric care with children and young people and/or previous experience working with medication initiation and follow-up of ADHD medication.

BUP Neuropsychiatry is part of BUP Stockholm. BUP Stockholm offers specialized psychiatric care for children and adolescents from 0 to 17 years within Stockholm County. We are part of the Stockholm County Healthcare Area, which is a provider within Region Stockholm. Together, we within BUP have about 1,200 employees who each year meet over 22,000 children, young people, and their families.

The position will be filled on the condition that it does not need to be allocated for internal relocation, according to current regulations.

For patient-related work within the Stockholm County Healthcare Area:

  • background checks are applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment.
  • employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment examination, according to current directives, which is done through occupational health services before employment.
  • good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required, in addition to Swedish professional license. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed staff with patient contact.
