The Cognitive Reception is located at Nacka Hospital and is part of Capio Geriatrics Nacka, which also has 4 departments for geriatric inpatient care.

We are a specialized cognitive reception (memory clinic) that conducts extensive memory assessments/dementia assessments. We are a small unit consisting of a nurse, a nursing assistant/coordinator, an occupational therapist, a psychologist, two senior physicians/specialist doctors, and a resident doctor. Our catchment area is Nacka and Värmdö, and we assess individuals over 65 years old. We have a close collaboration with Capio's other cognitive receptions in Stockholm.

The work as an occupational therapist with us includes functional and activity assessments as well as cognitive assessments as part of the memory investigation. The assessment is usually conducted during home visits but also at the clinic. It also includes the trial and prescription of cognitive aids as well as participation in team rounds.

The position is a permanent employment covering 100%. A 6-month probation period is included. Start date is June 2026 or as agreed. Introduction will be provided by an experienced occupational therapist.

We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist. Experience working in a cognitive reception and familiarity with the assessment instruments used, as well as working with individuals with cognitive disorders, is advantageous. You will work as the sole occupational therapist at the reception and therefore need to be able to work independently but are also part of the entire team.
