Younger Allergic (UA) is a non-profit organization aimed at empowering children and young people aged 6 to 29 with asthma, allergies, or other sensitivities. We conduct social activities, influence decision-makers, and work for a society that does not limit young people with asthma and allergies.
UA has around 1300 members and an office with two employees. We are now looking for an office manager as our regular secretary general is going on parental leave.
As the office manager, you will have overall responsibility for the office's ongoing work and be an important link between the office and the board. This is a broad and developing role where you can combine administration, leadership, and coordination.
Your responsibilities include, among other things:
- Leading the office's work, including personnel responsibility (management, employee conversations, recruitment).
- Maintaining close contact with the chairman and preparing materials for the board.
- Coordinating and following up on UA's operational plan and the board's decisions.
- Having an overview of the budget and accounting. Conducting financial follow-up and liaising with our financial consultant.
- Seeking grants and funding (e.g., state grants, foundations, and project support).
- Participating in the development of the organization together with the office and board.
- Contributing to the office's daily tasks and practical work.
We hope that you, as a candidate:
- Have good communication skills and enjoy collaborating.
- Are structured, self-driven, and take responsibility.
- Have experience in management, administration, and finance.
- Thrive in a role where you can both plan and execute.
It is an advantage if you have:
- Experience with asthma/allergy or personal experience.
- Knowledge of youth organization and rights.
- Experience in budget work or accounting.
- Previous volunteer engagement (at least 2 years).
About the position
Scope: 80% temporary position until the regular employee returns (until August 30, 2027).
Location: Our newly relocated offices at Tomtebodavägen 3B, Solna (possibility for some remote work).
Start date: Beginning of February 2026 (initially 60% during the introduction).
Agreement: Fremia–Unionen/Akademikerförbunden.
Benefits: Wellness hour, wellness allowance (300 SEK/month for full-time), competence fund, and a 37.5-hour work week.
Background check: Mandatory upon employment.
Salary
Fixed monthly salary according to individual salary setting, within the range of 26,000–29,000 SEK/month depending on experience.
