Junior Controller at Edtech Company

Our client is an Edtech company that develops children's reading skills with proprietary software based on dyslexia research. Since its founding in 2018, they have expanded to Sweden, Norway, and England, offering an engaging work environment.

ABOUT THE POSITION

As a Junior Controller, you will independently manage our client's finances – from ongoing financial administration to reporting, analysis, and budgeting at the group level. You will be a key person in the company and work closely with the CEO, board, and accounting firm on financial monitoring and decision support.

You will become part of an engaged and positive team, with newly renovated offices in a co-working space in central Stockholm. The position is a staffing assignment via Academic Work with an immediate start expected to last for 6 months.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Duties

The role includes a combination of financial administration, contract management, internal reporting, and budgeting and forecasting to ensure financial stability and growth.

• Financial administration of customer invoicing, invoice inquiries, and payments
• Contract administration and management of customer information in back-office systems
• Working with internal financial reports for management and the board
• Supporting the consolidation of the group's financial statements and reporting results monthly, quarterly, and annually
• Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts and analyzing actuals

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Has a completed university degree in finance
• Has worked a few years as a finance assistant and controller
• Has a very good understanding of financial reporting
• Has previously worked with financial analysis, preparation of financial reports, and budgeting
• Has excellent computer skills and advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
• Has very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as both languages are used in daily work

It is a merit if you have:

• Experience with the systems Younium, PCG, Zeroheight, Fortnox
• Knowledge of Norwegian
• Previously worked as a controller in a company with a B2B SaaS business model
