Your role

In the role of Sustainability Officer, you will be responsible for driving, coordinating, and following up on sustainability efforts within the Western Department. You will work closely with colleagues across several disciplines and support project management in strategic and operational sustainability issues – from environmental law matters to climate calculations and social sustainability aspects.

You will contribute to ensuring that projects meet high environmental and quality standards through active follow-up, advice, and dialogue with contractors, authorities, and designers.

The work also includes monitoring control programs for environmentally hazardous activities, participating in environmental rounds, and reviewing sustainability documentation. You will play a central role in a knowledgeable team that strives to continuously develop working methods and routines for even more sustainable construction. 

We are looking for someone who has:

A university or college degree (bachelor's or master's) with a focus on environment, sustainability, or urban planning – or equivalent education of at least 3 years. At least 5 years of professional experience in the environmental and/or sustainability field as an officer, coordinator, specialist, or strategist. At least 3 years of experience in environmental and sustainability issues within the construction or civil engineering industry in the last 10 years. Experience from projects where conditions have been regulated according to environmental court.

It is an extra merit if you have:

Worked with climate calculations in projects. At least 2 years of experience working in the public sector. Experience leading audits according to ISO 14001 in certified environmental management systems. Experience in monitoring sustainable supply chains.

Practical details:

- The work is performed both at the office in central Stockholm and remotely with flexibility based on project needs. - Assignment period: November 10, 2025 – November 10, 2026 - Scope: Full-time 100%
