Stegra aims to transform the global steel industry by producing green steel, with the ultimate goal of reducing carbon dioxide emissions to zero. By using green hydrogen and fossil-free electricity instead of coal, water and heat will be our primary emissions. By 2030, our ambition is to produce 5 million tons of green steel per year at our fully integrated, digitized, and sustainable facility in Boden - which is currently under construction.

About the role

We are in an intense development phase where we are building and refining our processes while the business grows. As part of our accounting team, you will work broadly within accounting and closing work, and you will be involved in developing and streamlining the company's finance function. The role also involves being a key contact between accounting, business control, and other parts of the organization to ensure accurate accounting, management, and analysis of costs and deviations. We value both specialist knowledge and collaboration, which means you will have your own areas of responsibility while we support each other in the team.

Your main tasks include:

• Ongoing accounting, reconciliations, and accruals

• Monthly closing and reporting

• Reconciliation and declaration of VAT

• Preparing materials for the annual report and audit

• Support in internal projects such as system changes and accounting investigations

• Participate and drive the development, improvement, and documentation of routines and processes within the finance function

Who are you?

We also see that you:

• Have a degree in economics at the university level or equivalent experience in accounting

• Have 5–10 years of work experience from similar roles

• Have a good understanding of the entire accounting flow

• Have experience with system changes and a strong interest in systems (experience with SAP S4/Hana is a plus)

• Have good skills in Excel

• Have good knowledge of K3 (IFRS is a plus)

• Communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing (Stegra's working language is English)

• Have the ability to travel to Boden once a month
