Region Skåne has taken over the assignment and has been operating Läkarbilen Skåne independently since September 2024. Läkarbilen offers home visits to those who, for various reasons, cannot come to our healthcare facilities. The visits performed are primarily for confirming deaths, care certificate assessments, as well as medical assessments and support for nurses within municipal healthcare. We collaborate with municipal healthcare, ambulances, police, health centers, and mobile teams in primary care.

Läkarbilen is staffed by doctors and nursing assistants, but the team also includes secretaries, with a total of approximately 30 employees currently working in the team.

Home visits throughout Skåne are conducted around the clock every day of the year. The cars depart from Lund hospital area.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the position of nursing assistant, you will assist the doctor with suturing and catheter placement. You should be comfortable taking patient-related analyses such as CRP, Hb, glucose, and ketones. Furthermore, you need to be able to monitor vital parameters, blood pressure, pulse, saturation, temperature, and respiratory rate. Additionally, you will be the one driving the car to and from the patients.

Before and after the work shift, bags with materials and medications are checked and restocked as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant with a focus on emergency care/healthcare according to the previous program structure or a trained nursing assistant within the new program structure who has studied all specializations. Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing is a requirement for the position. A B driver's license and good driving experience are also required as you will often be the one driving the car. Familiarity with the PMO journal system is an advantage but not a requirement. We would also like you to attach proof of protected professional title in your application if you have it.

As of July 1, 2023, the title of nursing assistant became a protected professional title. This means that you will need proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title of nursing assistant within healthcare and social services. If you currently have a permanent position as a nursing assistant and are offered a new position, you can retain your title as a nursing assistant until June 30, 2033. At any interview/employment, you will need to present proof of protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate that you were permanently employed on July 1, 2023. If you do not currently have a professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare or are covered by transitional provisions, this means that the title in your employment contract will be care assistant and not nursing assistant.
