About the American High School, Stockholm - Campus Frescati Hage

At Brunnsviken in the picturesque Norra Djurgårdsstaden, we started a high school in the autumn of 2023. The school is now entering its third academic year and has approximately 450 students studying in the Natural Sciences, Economics, or Social Sciences programs. Teaching is conducted in both English and Swedish by a competent teaching staff with a strong sense of community.

About the Role

As a teacher, you will teach our students in chemistry. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, assessing, and evaluating your own teaching. You are expected to lead lessons based on our pedagogical structure, which you will receive guidance in. You will work closely with a dedicated and cohesive teaching team, where collaboration and collegial learning are a natural part of everyday life. You will teach in a digital environment using digital teaching materials combined with traditional literature. Instruction will be conducted in Swedish with elements of English.

The position is a permanent part-time employment of 50%. The employment begins with a 6-month probationary period. Start date as soon as possible or by agreement.

Your Profile

We are primarily looking for someone with a teaching license and experience in teaching, who is qualified to teach chemistry. You have a strong commitment to teaching and want to help develop the operations together with a strong team of colleagues, sharing our pedagogical vision:

We are looking for someone who leads in line with our motto “Frames & Hugs,” which means clear leadership and rules combined with strong care for each student. With your energy, responsiveness, and perseverance, you easily engage and create participation towards common goals. Teamwork and transparency are key principles.

You are expected to have good communication skills in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written. You have the ability to use a wide range of digital teaching materials and possess a solid digital competence.
