About the role We are looking for a driven person who enjoys working broadly with finance tasks and commercial issues. You will join a new role in the company and become an important part of the team with the opportunity to drive and develop The Aurora together with the owners and management. The team currently consists of 10 people working in an international context with business development, B2B, B2C, conceptualization, PR & Communication, as well as production management and coordination of events.

As Finance Manager, you will take on significant responsibility and will divide your time between finance-related issues and a varied mix of commercial matters.

The role also includes a limited number of travel days and presence on-site during the execution of events.

Examples of tasks and responsibilities in the role include:

• Responsible for financial management, financial reporting, and handling the finances for The Aurora (project accounting, bookkeeping, forecasts, budgets, year-end processes, invoicing, payments, declarations, and taxes)
• Ensure that all financial activities comply with applicable laws and regulations
• Manage commercial issues, such as analysis, contract management, preparing documentation/calculations and pricing, as well as developing business with both partners and private customers.
• Maintain contact with auditors, banks, and other external contacts
• Handle various administrative tasks
• Support management with various tasks
• Assist with simpler HR issues, such as consulting agreements and payroll documentation

You will be based at the company's office in Uppsala, shared with MOTIKON. Here, there is an opportunity to work remotely one day a week, which can be extended to two days if needed.

About you We are looking for a proactive and unpretentious individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You have a strategic and business-minded mindset but do not hesitate to participate operationally where required as part of the team.

In addition to your personal qualities, we would like you to have:

• At least 5 years of experience from a finance department where you have worked in a role as a Controller or similar, which has given you a broad understanding of the finance role
• Experience in project accounting
• A relevant educational background
• Fluent communication in Swedish and English
• Driver's license (B)

We consider it an advantage if you have experience in international business and currency management. We believe it can be beneficial to have experience in a finance role within events and the tourism sector.
