About the organization Within our area of responsibility Production & Procurement, we are responsible for the operation and maintenance as well as ongoing development and optimization of all energy production within Öresundskraft (Helsingborg and Ängelholm). Within the Operations Department, where this position is located, we are responsible for the ongoing operations at Filbornaverket and Västhamnsverket in Helsingborg, as well as at Åkerslundsverket in Ängelholm. We are about 50 engaged employees distributed between shift-working Control Room Technicians / control room engineers and day-time Operations Coordinators, Operations Managers, Process Engineers, and Environmental Engineers.

About the position As an Environmental Engineer at Öresundskraft, within Production and Procurement, you will be an important part of our environmental team and play a central role in ensuring and developing environmental and chemical work at our production facilities in Helsingborg and Ängelholm.

The focus of the role will be within these three areas:

• Chemicals – you will be responsible for chemical management in our Chemsoft system, including inventory, risk assessments, follow-up, and consumption.
• Water quality – you will work with monitoring and sampling of stormwater and wastewater as well as flue gas condensate, including recipient control and reporting.
• Mava/steam – you will monitor and control the mava/steam cycle as well as district heating processes, including sampling and working with online instruments.

In addition to these main areas, you will participate in the work with environmental reports, inspections, periodic environmental audits, and contacts with authorities. You will also be involved in projects and development activities related to our facilities, as well as contribute to our environmental monitoring and ensure that we meet current and future BAT requirements within your main areas.

The role involves close collaboration with operations staff, project managers, and other internal functions. You will work both independently, within your areas of responsibility, and in a team with your two colleagues (Environmental Engineers) to develop our joint environmental work. You will report directly to the head of the Operations department and will be located at Filbornaverket in Helsingborg.

About you We assume that you have an engineering or university degree in chemical engineering, environmental chemistry, or environmental science and that you have several years of relevant experience from energy production or similar heavy process industry. You are fluent in both spoken and written Swedish, have a driver's license (B), and possess very good IT skills.

It is important to us that you are structured, proactive, flexible, and good at collaborating, both within the organization and with external partners. You need to have an easy time seeing the big picture while quickly understanding and finding complex connections at the detail level. You thrive when no day is the same and when new challenges and reprioritizations are more the rule than the exception. Naturally, you are genuinely interested in your field, meticulous, and have systematic problem-solving skills.
