We are now looking for a GIS Engineer for a 6-month temporary position. You will be part of the IT and Digitalization Department, which is one of four departments in the Municipal Executive Administration. The department supports the core operations by enabling good conditions for digitalization, the use of information technology, and a secure IT environment for our users. Our mission is to provide daily IT support and deliver modern IT solutions and professional services to support business development and provide the best conditions for the core operations to succeed in their tasks.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a GIS Engineer, you will work on maintaining and administering geodata within the municipality's organization. Lomma Municipality works with Geosecma, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Enterprise. Your tasks will include analysis, processing, and presentation of data to create a better, faster, and more reliable knowledge base for processing within various operational areas. Part of your time will also be spent on training and developing services in Lomma Municipality's GIS platform based on ArcGIS Enterprise. You will be involved in various projects where GIS expertise is needed and will serve as an important support function for the municipality's GIS users.

In addition to GIS tasks, you will be part of the IT department's digitalization group. This means that you, together with colleagues, will contribute to developing and supporting all municipal operations in their digital development. Besides GIS, we also appreciate your interest and ability to work with automation, e-services (Abou), and other smart digital solutions. In this role, you will act as a bridge between the needs of the operations and possible digital solutions, meaning that the assignment is not only directed towards the Urban Planning Department but can encompass the entire organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a university degree in GIS or another education that the employer finds equivalent. The position requires good knowledge of geodata and database structures. You have extensive experience with ArcGIS. It is an advantage if you have also worked with FME, SQL, and Python, as well as experience with 3D data and knowledge of detailed planning. You need to express yourself well in both spoken and written language.
