Welding and Quality Engineer

We are now looking for a Welding and Quality Engineer to join our growing Industrial and Energy team, who wants to continue their professional development with us.

Job Description

As a Welding and Quality Engineer at Ingenjörsfirman, you will work as a consultant from our offices in Kalmar or Karlskrona. You will become part of an experienced team that supports each other.

In this role, you will work with requirements specification in welding and quality, documentation review, inspections, supplier assessments, as well as manufacturing and installation controls. You will collaborate closely with experienced colleagues and gradually develop to manage your work independently.

Your Responsibilities

As a Welding and Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring product and production quality as well as efficient working methods.
• Continuously monitoring quality status and initiating actions as needed.
• Conducting root cause analyses and implementing corrective actions.
• Ensuring compliance with requirements regarding materials, documentation, standards, and laws.
• Drafting specifications for manufacturing and installation documentation.
• Providing quality support during procurement.
• Monitoring time and quality in relation to the schedule through expediting.
• Performing inspections of manufacturing and installations.

The assignments come from municipal, state, or private clients and can encompass everything from feasibility studies and investigations to manufacturing and installations. Projects may be within the pulp and paper industry, manufacturing, energy, or nuclear power. Regardless of the assignment, the company has experience with similar projects and we are happy to share our knowledge.

The work primarily takes place Monday–Friday from 07:30 to 16:30. You have great freedom to plan your own time based on the assignments and tasks you have. It is the project's needs, combined with your conditions, that set the boundaries.

Your Profile:

We are looking for someone with experience in welding and quality work who wants to contribute to ensuring quality in industrial and manufacturing projects.

Requirements:

• University degree or equivalent professional experience in manufacturing industry, process, or nuclear power.
• Experience as a quality or welding engineer, either on the client side or with manufacturers/contractors.
• In-depth technical knowledge in welding, construction, and quality assurance.
• Good computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Driver's license B.

Meritorious:

• Experience working as a consultant, client, or contractor.
• Experience with projects involving both private, municipal, and state clients.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
• IPMA certification.
• Certifications in NDT, IWE, IWT, IWS.
• Competence in machine safety.
• Knowledge of steel construction according to TR-Steel.
