We are looking for someone who wants to work with strategic planning and design of distribution networks 0.4–50 kV. You will become part of the Planning Department within the Power Grid. The department consists of engineers who together are responsible for the development of Kalmar Energi's Power Grid and operations.

About the position

As a planning engineer at Kalmar Energi Power Grid, you will work with:

• Short- and long-term planning of the power grid
• Forecasting, budgeting, and decision-making support for investments
• Design and network investigations
• Reporting to authorities
• Dialogue with stakeholders in our area

After an introduction, scheduled on-call duty is included in the position. The position may require a security classification at level 3.

Qualifications for the position

We are looking for someone with previous experience in power engineering. In the role of planning engineer, you need to have an analytical mind and a willingness to solve problems – from technical details to strategic challenges.

Requirements for the position:

• Master's or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent work experience
• Experience in network planning, sizing, and construction in the power engineering field
• Driver's license (B)

Meritorious:

• General authorization
• Experience from the power grid industry
• Good knowledge of laws and regulations within power engineering and power grid operations

Kalmar Energi is the local energy company of the Kalmar region with deep roots in Småland's soil. As a local energy company, we exist and work in close proximity to our customers. Kalmar Energi has a turnover of approximately 950 million SEK and around 100 employees.

The Distribution Department is responsible for the effective development, operation, and maintenance of electricity, fiber, heating, and cooling networks in Kalmar. The Power Grid consists of 16 employees and is responsible for about 23,000 electricity customers. The Planning Department within the Power Grid is responsible for the development, operation, and maintenance of the power grid.
