RESPONSIBILITIES

As a product developer at Be-Ge Seating, you will develop and improve the company's products with a focus on innovation, functionality, quality, and cost-effectiveness. The role directly contributes to the company's strategic goals by driving development projects from idea to finished product, in close collaboration with other functions, customers, and suppliers.

We are open to both those who are at the beginning of their engineering career and those who have more experience. Regardless of whether your background is in design and/or product development, you are welcome to submit your application.

Your overall responsibilities will include:

• Conducting and ensuring progress in activities in the design process to meet customer needs regarding customization/modification of existing products as well as some new construction.

• Conducting and driving activities in the product development process for new products and further development of existing ones.

• Ensuring that products meet requirements for quality, safety, functionality, durability, and legislation.

• Participating in prototype development, testing, and verifications.

• Contributing with improvement suggestions and driving innovation and improvement work.

• Representing R&D in cross-functional teams as well as in customer and supplier dialogues.

The role is perfect for you who enjoy combining product development with technology and business relationships, which is why we are looking for a social and technically interested colleague. You will report directly to the head of design and development in Oskarshamn.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND QUALIFICATIONS

You have a post-secondary education in mechanical engineering, product development, or equivalent, as well as experience in product development and/or mechanical design. You are familiar with product development processes, prototype work, and verification and enjoy working cross-functionally.

In the role, you are an important link between customers, suppliers, production, and internal teams. Through clear communication and strong relationships, you drive development forward and capture needs and opportunities. With a holistic view and understanding of the product's life cycle, you work proactively, solve problems early, and contribute insights that strengthen both projects and the business.

As a person, you work customer- and solution-oriented, with good structure and analytical ability as important parts of your working method. You have a strong sense of responsibility and an inner drive, which allows you to both initiate and complete your tasks in a qualitative manner. Valuing knowledge sharing and receiving is also something you hold in high regard.

It is an advantage if you have experience from the manufacturing industry, knowledge of material selection and mechanical strength. Experience with Monitor and/or Inventor is a plus, but not a requirement. You are fluent in Swedish and English and hold a B driver's license for business travel.
