About the Role

As an Automation Engineer, you will be a key person in our projects within industry, energy, and process plants. You will work throughout the project chain – from technical calculations and design to programming, commissioning, and technical support in tender processes. The role offers both practical and theoretical work, close to the customer and in technical development projects. The design team at BKtech currently consists of seven people with different roles and responsibilities. We are a down-to-earth and cheerful group that collaborates closely to drive projects forward. Your tasks will include:

• Detail design, system design, programming, and commissioning of PLC, HMI, and DCS systems.
• Ensuring that components, systems, and installations meet industry standards, legal requirements, and business standards.
• Evaluating and selecting technology, equipment, and systems for the facility's functionality and performance.
• Participating as technical support in tenders, quote work, and customer meetings.
• Contributing to the development of methods, tools, and processes for efficient engineering.
• Performing troubleshooting, service, and maintenance of control and regulation equipment as needed.

Your Profile

• Post-secondary education in automation or equivalent (college, university, or vocational training).
• At least 5 years of experience from industrial automation projects.
• Good experience in programming PLC, HMI, and/or DCS systems.
• Experience from the energy or process industry; extra merit if you have worked with energy systems, especially bioenergy.
• Good knowledge in system design and programming of control systems. We use Siemens and PhoenixContact.
• Ability to work with PLC systems, HMI, drive systems, and databases.
• Good understanding of relevant laws, directives, and standards.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
