Are you ready to take the next step in your career and lead a strong accounting team in a global, innovative environment? Our client is now looking for a Head of Accounting for their headquarters in Gothenburg.

Location: Gothenburg (100% onsite) Period: Sep 29, 2025 – Feb 28, 2026 Scope: Full-time (40h/week)

As Head of Accounting, you will have a central role where you are responsible for:

• Financial reporting according to GAAP/IFRS

• Internal controls for data integrity and compliance

• Leadership and coaching of the accounting team

• Audit and collaboration with external auditors

• Budget & forecasts in line with business objectives

• Process improvements and optimization in close collaboration with Shared Services

A strategic key role where you drive improvements and ensure high quality in the accounting flows.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in finance/accounting (CPA, CMA or similar is a plus)

• Experience from multinational companies, preferably with Europe-wide exposure

• At least 8–10 years of experience in accounting, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role

• Deep knowledge of IFRS and accounting standards

• Experience with internal controls & process mapping

• A “hands-on” attitude and strong problem-solving skills

• Good system proficiency, including SAP & MS Office

• The ability to think strategically in a fast-paced and changing environment
