Your Role

You will be part of the Requirements, Acceptance, and Verification section within the "Speciality Engineering" area in Karlskrona. As a requirements engineer, you will work on complex development projects. You will be involved throughout the entire product development process from the initial phase to the product handover to the customer. The main task is to set up and manage the structure of the requirements database based on the Requirements, Acceptance, and Verification section's structure and the various project needs. Changes and additions to the requirements database are handled throughout the project duration.

You will also be responsible for providing the organization with working methodology and support. The tasks vary across project phases, from supporting how to write verifiable requirements and instructing how to work in the requirements database, to developing a verification matrix from the current requirements set. The requirements set also handles verification criteria based on verification occasions and verification methods. Your tasks also include providing project management and customers with status reports or statistics on the requirements set.

You will become part of a social requirements team with an open atmosphere that works closely with both project management and systems engineers. You and your colleagues are responsible for maintaining the requirements set and play a key role in ensuring a successful project.

Your main tasks may include

• Requirements analysis for the current project
• Structuring the work for the given project in requirements tools with modules, main requirements, broken down requirements, and verification of requirements
• Managing the requirements set in terms of linking requirements, handling views and attributes, and analyzing and improving the requirements set based on emerging needs, etc.
• Training the company in working methodology
• Providing support to systems engineers on how they work in the requirements database
• Contributing to process development by constantly improving and optimizing work methods

Business trips occur primarily within Sweden but may also be international depending on the project.

Your Profile

You are a driven person who enjoys structure and has the ability to work disciplined. To keep order in a requirements database, it is essential that you enjoy working with complex solutions and have a knack for understanding a need, as well as identifying a solution on how that need can be met to fit into the whole. You find it enjoyable to support your colleagues in the project, and you understand the importance of good communication.

Essential skills

• Experience in requirements-driven development work
• Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish and English
• Team player

Desirable skills

• Engineering degree, degree in Systems Development or equivalent
• Experience in working with processes and governing documentation
• Administration of requirements database work

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations at any given time. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in certain cases, involve requirements for specific citizenship.
