Service Engineer

Your Role

Your tasks will include commissioning, troubleshooting, as well as service and maintenance of our systems on board Swedish and foreign naval vessels.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with a technical education or equivalent relevant training, and an interest in technology in general, who finds some of the areas mentioned in the title interesting.

You are communicative, can easily absorb new information, and collaborate well with colleagues, subcontractors, and customer representatives. Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written, is a requirement.

Preferred qualifications and experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Civil and/or military sensor systems and command systems
• Experience with information systems and communication networks
• Experience with marine systems in general
• Experience with commissioning and service of ship-installed hardware and software
• Practical experience with Linux and Windows
• Broad experience with computers and networks
• Experience with troubleshooting and measurement technology

You enjoy working in teams and finding effective solutions, and are open to trying different technical areas. You are reliable, systematic, meticulous, and persistent. You are also an engaged, outgoing, and creative person who wants to develop both personally and professionally.

The position involves travel both nationally and internationally.

On-call duty may occur.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may involve requirements for certain citizenship.
