What we are looking for We are now seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer for an assignment with our client in Karlskrona. Job responsibilities in this assignment In the role of senior mechanical designer, you will initially and primarily work on global projects for clients around the world. The work is project-based and takes place in multidisciplinary teams with internal and external specialists.

In the role, you should be open to varying tasks both within and outside your primary job role.

You will be responsible for/work with:

• Responsible for the design and development of mechanical systems and components according to specifications given by projects and in accordance with applicable standards.
• Design documentation
• Safety and quality
• Material selection and component adaptation
• Risk assessment
• Collaboration with production and suppliers
• Technical support and improvement work

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in design and manufacturing.
• At least 5 years of experience with CAD software (SolidWorks), and document management SolidWorks PDM or equivalent.
• Experience with welding and installation of heavy components with machine tolerances is an advantage.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Well-versed in Office 365.
