What we are looking for We are now looking for a Senior Mechanical Designer for a project at our client in Karlskrona. As a person, you are unpretentious with good social skills and, in addition to your technical competence, a curiosity and ambition to develop.Tasks in this assignment In the role of senior designer, you will initially and primarily work on global projects for customers worldwide. The work is done in project form and in multidisciplinary teams with internal and external specialists.

In the role, you should be open to varied tasks both within and outside your primary role.

You will be responsible for/working with:

• Responsible for the design and development of mechanical systems and components according to specifications given by the project and according to applicable standards.
• Design documentation
• Safety and quality
• Material selection and component adaptation
• Risk assessment
• Collaboration with production and suppliers
• Technical support and improvement work

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in design and manufacturing.
• At least 5 years of experience with CAD software (SolidWorks) and document management SolidWorks PDM or equivalent.
• Experience in welding and installation of heavy components with machine tolerances is a merit.
• Fluent in Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
• Proficient in Office 365.
