Description

The Swedish Coast Guard is looking for someone who wants to work as an assistant in the HR and Finance Department, based in the Finance Unit in Karlskrona.

The HR and Finance Department has overall responsibility within the authority regarding issues related to personnel, salary, finance, procurement, purchasing, and basic and further education. The department has about 45 employees in Karlskrona, Gothenburg, and Stockholm.

Responsibilities

As an assistant, you will primarily work with invoice management. The remaining time, you will provide administrative support to the department's four units: the Finance Unit, HR Unit, Procurement and Purchasing Unit, and the Training Unit, as well as the department head.

You will be responsible for the department's functional mailbox, matters in our document and case management system Platina, and invoice management. You will also conduct orders, purchases, and administer the authority's payment cards. You will work both independently and collaboratively with other colleagues within the department.

Qualifications

Approved high school diploma in a relevant field for the position.

As a person, you possess good administrative skills and have solid knowledge of the Office suite. Additionally, you have a good ability to organize, a strong interest in people, and enjoy providing service. You are professional and responsible with a humble attitude.

The work involves many contacts, both internally and externally, so you need to have good communication skills and the ability to make independent decisions. You are solution-oriented and contribute both with your own ideas and by listening to others. You adapt easily to changes and see opportunities in them. As an applicant, we prefer that you are at the beginning of your career. We also expect you to have very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Conditions

The employment is a permanent position that begins with a 6-month probationary period, with start date according to agreement, and the place of employment is Karlskrona.

For employment, Swedish citizenship, a driver's license for passenger cars, a passed drug test, and a security clearance with a background check according to the Security Protection Act are required.

The Coast Guard participates in overseas assignments and international missions. Therefore, the position includes an obligation to serve abroad when required for the operation.

In the case of permanent employment, there is also an obligation to be placed in military service.
