Karlshamn Parish is looking for a church musician/musician

We are looking for someone who wants to be part of a dedicated team in a parish with both urban and rural areas. We enjoy working in teams and in various constellations around both everyday tasks and projects. In the parish, we have over two hundred active choir singers distributed among seven adult choirs and four children's/youth choirs. Karlshamn also has a rich cultural life and offers many opportunities for collaboration with other actors in the community.

We want to make use of your strengths and believe that you can become an asset and an inspiring link in our team of four musicians and two educators. Your tasks will include playing at services and ceremonies as well as leading a mixed church choir and a project-based children's choir. There is also the possibility for projects based on your strong points.

Qualifications:

We are looking for someone who has a church music degree or a musical education that the employer considers equivalent.

In your work, you take responsibility for both planning and execution and are driven by creating engagement and participation. The work requires good social skills to meet people in services and activities. You have an easy time making contacts and are eager to collaborate with other actors. It is important that you, as an applicant, want to work in and for the Church of Sweden. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

The position is a permanent employment at 100% where both day, evening, and weekend work may occur. Start date according to agreement.

Karlshamn Parish has about 9000 members within Karlshamn city and in the rural areas of Hällaryd and Åryd, with a church in each locality. Karlshamn Parish is divided into two different areas of activity, parish activities and burial activities. In total, we are about 40 employees, who together with elected representatives and volunteers work towards the vision “Through joy and sorrow in all stages of life” and operate under the guiding principles: openness, community, and care. These words permeate all our activities.

Membership in the Church of Sweden is required for the position.

You need to master the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

A criminal record extract is required.

A driving license (B) is required.
