The Municipal Executive Administration is responsible for overall development, municipal and corporate governance, as well as various projects. We are a total of about 170 employees working in municipal management, citizen services, business, finance, HR, communication, IT, meals, cleaning, and the unit for safety, security, and public health.

The Municipal Executive Administration provides support and service to other administrations through its various units and is an operation in direct contact with elected officials, citizens, visitors, and entrepreneurs.

Placement: Finance Office

Are you an experienced accountant? We are now looking for a new employee for the finance office. The finance office consists of twelve employees who work cross-functionally with a comprehensive responsibility to support parts of the operation with analyses, project follow-up, financial goal achievement, and more. There is also significant collaboration with our municipal companies.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for leading and developing accounting and accounting issues within Sölvesborg Municipality and collaborating with municipal companies.

As an accountant, your main tasks will consist of overarching financial issues and ongoing accounting, such as interim and year-end reporting for the municipality, the municipal group, and the corporate group.

You will be part of and lead the accounting group, which consists of a system administrator/central accountant and three administrators.

You will also be the contact person for the audit.

You will become part of the finance office, which is a close-knit group that supports each other as needed. In your role, you will have independent responsibility. To create security and clarity, the organization has well-established structures and working methods and works as far as possible according to common routines.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with an academic degree in finance, preferably with a focus on accounting. You have experience in qualified accounting work. Experience in municipal accounting and preparing year-end reports is an advantage.

You have very good analytical skills, can see the big picture, and are skilled at communicating verbally and in writing. We expect you to have an interest in systems and find it easy to use various IT support in your work. You have good knowledge of Excel.

Since you will have many contacts in your work, it is important that you are outgoing, positive, attentive, and have a pronounced service mindset. You have the ability to build trust, find it easy to collaborate, and have good pedagogical skills. You are proactive, meticulous, and complete your tasks.
