About the Position

As a strategic buyer in the Installation & Services section at Saab Aeronautics, you will work both independently and in teams to build strong relationships with suppliers and ensure high-quality purchasing work. You will work with project management, build relationships, and create a large network of international suppliers primarily related to Gripen. You will be responsible for procurement in both new and existing projects in close collaboration with the Aeronautics technology and engineering teams.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Strategic purchasing work in the IFS business system and project management.
• Responsible for various suppliers.
• Support business area projects with commercial responsibility and continuously evaluate the market competitiveness of the current supplier portfolio.
• Responsible for negotiations, actively manage and further develop Saab's supplier agreements.
• Drive cross-functional teams focusing on efficiency and cost savings.
• Ensure that Saab's purchasing strategy, purchasing policy, and procedures are met.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone with a university degree or equivalent documented education in the field. You need to have experience in strategic purchasing and project management, and it is advantageous if you also have experience in category management and work with electronics (including cabling), mechanics, and fasteners. Since Saab is an international company, you can communicate in English both verbally and in writing.

As a person, you have a strong interest in technology, are proactive, and driven. You have the ability to work in a structured manner even when you need to switch between different projects or tasks. You initiate activities, complete them, and achieve results. You possess good collaboration skills and view problems as a resource for finding solutions. Finally, you can work with both the big picture and details and understand the importance of clarifying and following up on plans to achieve development.
