About Meteorologen

Meteorologen Mountain Lodge is a carefully renovated mountain hotel in an old customs house from 1903. Here, elegant simplicity meets a genuine closeness to nature. The lodge has 14 personally decorated rooms with modern amenities and fresh bathrooms. The atmosphere is both warm and sophisticated – a place where our guests can relax, enjoy the tranquility, and dine well. Many guests come for heliskiing, skiing, and mountain experiences – making Meteorologen a natural meeting place and an important part of the experience in Riksgränsen.

Your Profile

  • You have experience from high-level hotel or restaurant operations.
  • You are passionate about providing guests with an exclusive and personal experience.
  • You are responsible, structured, and have an eye for detail.
  • You feel confident in a leadership role where you coach staff and participate in the work yourself.
  • Great emphasis is placed on your personal suitability and your sense of hospitality.

Your Responsibilities

As the Responsible Metro Host, you will ensure that our guests have a first-class stay from check-in to farewell. You will be responsible for:

  • Managing the daily operations of the lodge.
  • Introducing and coaching staff in service and guest relations.
  • Leading and scheduling work in consultation with the F&B Manager.
  • Handling guest services, reception, check-in, and check-out.
  • Serving breakfast and dinner.
  • Checking inventory, cash, and booking systems.
  • Participating in F&B meetings and reporting on operations and development.

Qualifications

  • Experience from hotels or restaurants with high service demands.
  • Good experience with booking systems and cash handling.
  • Confidence in leadership.

Meritorious

  • Previous work at smaller exclusive hotels, lodges, or boutique hotels.
  • Experience as a sommelier or chef.
  • A valid driver's license is a merit but not a requirement.
  • Experience working at ski resorts or in mountain environments.
  • Familiarity with the Riksgränsen/Björkliden area (e.g., through skiing or previous stays here).

Employment Type: Seasonal employment
Scope: Full-time/part-time as agreed
