We are looking for an experienced and structured VMware Engineer for a technology-heavy environment with high security requirements. The assignment involves a comprehensive migration from an external to an internal VMware environment, focusing on stability, quality, and efficient implementation based on a defined baseline design.

The client is a critical player in payment infrastructure, which imposes high demands on security, collaboration, and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Migrate from external to internal VMware environment according to established methods.
• Follow and improve migration runbooks and schedules.
• Perform tasks outside of office hours as needed (within service windows).
• Manage incidents and ensure that solutions comply with IT architecture and security guidelines.
• Document changes and contribute to process development.

Requirements

• Very good knowledge of VMware Cloud Foundation (vSphere, vSAN, NSX, Avi Load Balancer).
• Basic knowledge of networking, Active Directory, DNS, Windows, and Linux.
• Structured working method and experience in documentation.
• Experience in incident management and working according to security standards.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Relevant higher education or equivalent competence.

Meritorious

• Experience working in a security-classified environment.
• Previous experience with larger VMware migrations.
• Experience in developing and improving migration methodologies and documentation.

We are looking for someone who is self-driven and takes initiative, while also being able to collaborate and communicate easily with others. You have an analytical and solution-oriented approach, are quality-conscious, and have a strong security mindset that permeates your work.

Start: Immediate start with consideration for a 1-month notice period. The assignment is full-time and ongoing.
