We are looking for a senior solution architect who wants to contribute to the implementation and management of an Apache Kafka platform in an on-prem environment with high demands on availability and security. In this role, you will work on creating and further developing data flows that connect a wide variety of databases, APIs, and protocols. You will also be responsible for ongoing management, monitoring, and troubleshooting to ensure stable operations and continuous improvements.

You will collaborate closely with colleagues in the team and adjacent groups, act as a technical sounding board, and actively contribute to knowledge sharing about solutions and technology.

• Contribute to the implementation and management of an Apache Kafka platform with a focus on high availability and security in an on-prem environment
• Build and maintain data flows that integrate databases, APIs, and various protocols
• Work with logging, monitoring, and certificate management related to the platform
• Conduct ongoing monitoring, troubleshooting, and improvement work for stable operations
• Configure and further develop Kafka Connect connectors to various sources and targets
• Implement custom components in Kafka
• Support teams and stakeholders as a technical sounding board and contribute to knowledge sharing

• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish
• At least 9 years of experience as a solution architect
• Documented experience in setting up and administering Apache Kafka in on-premise environments with a focus on high availability and security, including logging, monitoring, and certificate management
• Documented experience with GitOps and infrastructure as code
• Documented experience with container technology and orchestration locally
• Documented experience with Kafka Connect and configuring connectors to a wide variety of databases, APIs, and protocols
• Documented experience in implementing custom components in Kafka
• Ability to undergo and pass a security clearance (requires Swedish citizenship, dual citizenship is not accepted)

• Experience designing Kafka architecture for horizontal scaling
• Experience with stream processing
