About the Company

Avaron AB is a growing consulting company focused on technology, finance, and operational support. We match your expertise with the most interesting assignments in the market and offer a platform where your development is at the center.

About the Assignment

We are looking for an experienced data specialist who wants to accelerate data work in an organization where information management has become increasingly critical to operations. You will be part of a central Data Office with a broad mandate to support the business in areas such as data governance, data quality, working methods, and the implementation of data-related tools.

You will work in a federated model with information domains and collaborate closely with the Data Governance Lead and other colleagues in the data office. The assignment is suitable for you who thrive in complex organizations, can quickly establish structure, and create progress through collaboration, workshops, and change management. The role also requires technical understanding to support the business in requirements definition and coordination with technical teams and/or suppliers.

Responsibilities
  • Support the business in clarifying data lineage and documenting and making decisions regarding master data and master data sources.
  • Establish and improve working methods for metadata, including processes, responsibilities, and standards.
  • Lead feasibility studies, requirements definition, and implementation of a data catalog, as well as other relevant tool support as needed.
  • Contribute to frameworks and guidelines for data products and, if necessary, support pilot implementation together with selected information domains.
  • Contribute to deliveries within data strategy, such as current state analysis of technical and operational data capabilities, identification of needs and priorities, and a concrete roadmap towards a more data-driven organization.
  • Take responsibility for specific goals within the Data Office and ensure delivery by defining the desired effect, developing a plan, and driving progress through workshops and cross-functional activities.
  • Collaborate with information architects, information domains (including data stewards), data platform teams, and analytics teams.
  • Contribute to increased automation and digitization within data management together with IT and the business, aiming to reduce manual work, strengthen data quality, and increase data-driven working methods.
Requirements
  • Experience in driving and coordinating cross-functional initiatives within the data field in complex organizations.
  • Ability to establish structure, create consensus, and drive change, including leading workshops.
  • Technical understanding of modern data capabilities and the ability to support the business with requirements definition and coordination with technical teams and/or suppliers.
  • Knowledge of data governance, master data, metadata, and data quality.
  • Ability to undergo and pass a security clearance (requires Swedish citizenship, dual citizenship is not accepted).
  • Fluent in Swedish.
