About the position
We are looking for someone with several years of experience in public authority operations and change management. Experience in educational activities is a plus.
Our operations are constantly evolving and changing, which means we need to adapt and create conditions for this within the organization. As a planner with us, you will work in processes within the school area, which includes preschool, after-school care, primary school, adapted primary school, and school transportation. The unit is also responsible for the supervision of independent preschools. You are expected to work broadly, be flexible, and adapt based on the political decisions that lead to changes within the Preschool and Primary School Administration. You will support the unit manager in driving and following up on the systematic development and quality work for the organization.
In the role of planner, you will independently manage investigative assignments. You will also handle and make decisions on cases based on delegation. In this role, you will work strategically, which means you will prepare the necessary documentation, handle incoming inquiries at a general level, such as feedback and requests for public documents. You will be involved in the work of continuous improvements of our routines and guidelines with a focus on what concerns our area.
Examples of tasks:
- plan and conduct supervision according to the Education Act
- investigate and decide within your delegation
- drive investigative and improvement assignments
- lead the revision and creation of guidelines
- conduct and lead meetings and processes related to the above
- produce statistics and planning materials within your area
About the workplace
The Planning Unit is part of the Preschool and Primary School Administration, whose main mission is to provide children and students with opportunities for learning and education. The Planning Unit consists of planners and three case officer groups led by group leaders. The unit is responsible for, among other things, the placement of children and students, school transportation, reception in adapted primary school, and supervision of independent preschools. The unit is located in Medborgarhuset, centrally in Örebro.
Approximately 4,530 employees work within the Preschool and Primary School Administration. We meet the young residents of Örebro from the first day of preschool to the last day of primary school. Together, we are responsible for contributing to creating equal opportunities for the young residents of Örebro and laying the foundation for a lifelong learning journey. Qualifications
To thrive in the role of planner, you should be able to work both independently and in teams. You will have several points of contact, both internally and externally, which requires you to adapt your oral and written communication based on the recipient and context. To succeed in this role, you should be analytical, structured, attentive, and able to prioritize.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Requirements:
- degree from a university with at least 180 credits, for example, you are educated as a lawyer, social scientist, preschool teacher, or in public administration and management
- at least two years of experience in public authority operations or as an investigator in child and education matters
- knowledge of methods and tools for follow-up and evaluation
- experience in independently driving processes and improvement work
Meritorious:
- experience in educational activities
- experience working in a politically governed organization
- experience in project management
- experience working with digitalization
