Our client has recently been tasked with building a capacity for AML (anti-money laundering) by implementing transaction monitoring. The consultant will therefore enter an exciting phase of startup and development, with great opportunities to influence direction and working methods going forward.

Main Responsibilities

As a project manager, the consultant will be a central part of the client's new initiative on transaction monitoring and AML. The role involves driving the project from planning to delivery, responsible for organizing, distributing, and following up on the work. The project manager will also serve as operational and tactical support to the department head.

The responsibilities include, among others:

• Establish project plan, cost forecast, resource and communication plan together with project owner and project group
• Ensure quality in all documentation, both project documents (e.g., risk analyses, decision logs, steering group materials) and delivery-related documentation (service descriptions, system documentation, etc.)
• Anchor decisions according to the client's internal processes
• Continuously follow up on the project's milestones, risks, and costs
• Identify and manage deviations proactively
• Report the project's status to the steering group and other stakeholders, and present in the steering group
• Support, motivate, and inspire the project team
• Conduct a structured handover to management/receiving organization

Competence and Experience

For the role, the following is required:

• At least 10 years of experience as a project manager
• Good knowledge of AML, preferably from the banking or finance sector
• Experience in operational leadership
• Very good knowledge of project management models (the client works with PPS)
• Understanding of the payment market and regulated operations (meriting)

Desired General Competence:

• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Structured, meticulous, and holistic
• Experienced in giving presentations and leading workshops
• Ability to switch between operational and tactical tasks
• Knowledge in product development and requirements management
• Very good skills in Swedish and English
• Experience in the ordering role

Personal Characteristics:

The client places great importance on personal characteristics. The consultant should be confident in the role of senior project manager, analytical, change-oriented, and skilled at communicating and presenting information at various levels, both internally and externally.

End date: 2025-12-31, with the possibility of extension until 2026-06-30
