About the company

LSR works to prevent waste generation and offers a safe, accessible, and efficient collection system for waste that arises in Landskrona and Svalöv. The company manages the waste from businesses and restores the Lundåkrabukten landfill area in a long-term sustainable manner.

LSR is a municipal company and has chosen to divide its operations into three business areas – waste under municipal responsibility, restoration of the Lundåkradeponin, and business waste. The practical operations are run by contracted entrepreneurs. LSR is nominally a waste management company but works with waste as an environmental company.

Responsibilities

In the role of controller, you are responsible for ensuring a safe, efficient, and accessible waste collection under municipal responsibility. You do this primarily through the operation of our recycling centers and recycling stations. You work closely with our entrepreneurs who staff and manage these, and you have a central function in ordering, following up, and quality assuring the ongoing work. An important part of the role is to continuously follow up and evaluate ongoing contracts to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and development in the assignments.

You are also responsible for the development of the automatic billing system for visits to our recycling centers together with the system's supplier. The work is done in close collaboration with the entrepreneurs who staff the recycling centers. By being operational and clear, you ensure that the work at and around our two recycling centers is coordinated and efficient. As a controller, you are also part of the controller group where you together develop the business and LSR's services. You help ensure that our customers receive simple and clear solutions that make it easy to do the right thing. 

The role also means that you participate in various weekend and/or evening events a few times a year, where you, together with a colleague from LSR, represent the organization and communicate with different target groups in an engaging way.

• Ensure a safe, efficient, and accessible waste collection under municipal responsibility
• Ongoing orders, controls, accounting, and invoicing as well as follow-up and evaluation of contracts
• Development of business systems and participation in the evaluation and procurement of agreements
• Development of waste fractions and their disposal options
• Develop the area of reuse/recycling at our recycling centers

Education, experience, and personal qualities

• Post-secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent work experience • Experience in a role where you have worked as a controller, business controller is an advantage • Advantageous if you have experience from the waste industry, environmental industry, or related fields • Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written • B driver's license

Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities as the position is complex and requires both analytical ability and a strong commitment to ensure that the practical operations function.
