Workplace Description
The Medical Institutions Office (MiM) provides administrative services to the two medical institutions located in Malmö; Clinical Sciences, Malmö (IKVM) and Translational Medicine (ITM).
The operations conduct world-class research spanning a wide field – from molecular medicine to a public health perspective, as well as epidemiology, cancer, and health sciences, to name a few. The institutions also provide education, primarily in the final semesters of medical training and in public health sciences. The operations have a close collaboration with healthcare and Region Skåne and are located at the Clinical Research Center (CRC) and the Wallenberg Laboratory in Malmö.
MiM is responsible for providing administrative support in, among other things, grant administration, financial management, budgeting, follow-up, HR processes, personnel administration, and communication. At the same time, administrative support is provided to the heads of the institutions. The MiM office consists of an administrative manager, four employees in the finance function, a communicator, three administrators, an HR administrator, and two HR partners.

Job Responsibilities and Areas of Responsibility
The HR partner's responsibilities include handling personnel issues at both operational and strategic levels. This includes, among other things, recruitment and termination of staff, onboarding new employees, salary reviews and placement, union negotiations, rehabilitation, and ongoing personnel administration. In this role, there is an overarching responsibility for coordinating workplace environment issues and possibly being the HR partner directly to the administrative manager of the MiM office.
The operational work is carried out closely with the organization’s research group leaders, whom you assist with support and advice on personnel issues of both overarching and individual character. Internal service and support to managers and employees is a very important part of the job. The HR partner must be flexible as it involves working with the entire HR spectrum on a daily basis. The main administrative tools used are the personnel system Primula, the rehabilitation system Adato, the recruitment system Varbi, and the personnel catalog Lucat.
Other tasks may also become relevant.
Qualifications
Requirements for the position are:
- Academic education in the HR field or education/experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
- At least two years of experience in independent and qualified work within operational HR work in a generalist role.
- Experience in labor law issues.
- You should be well acquainted with the Office suite.
- Good knowledge of IT-based support systems for personnel administration.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form.
