About the role

As the person responsible for building and maintaining relationships with our suppliers, you will manage a supplier base of approximately 20 suppliers, primarily in Europe and Asia. You will ensure material availability by having the right system setups, sending production plans, following up on delivery deviations and inventory levels, and participating in cross-functional allocation meetings for critical items. In product introduction projects, you will participate as a resource within your area of expertise and work closely with our logistics project manager and other sub-project leaders to achieve common project goals, such as securing materials for new product launches and managing the phase-out of older items. You will also be responsible for transport follow-up together with our carriers, where the goal is to reduce environmental impact and creatively solve any deviations together with the team. Additionally, you will act as support for production in material and logistics-related issues.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a university degree in engineering, either you are newly graduated or have a few years of work experience. Alternatively, you have a solid background in material planning and an ability to handle strategically complex issues. You possess natural leadership qualities, are communicative, and are used to working independently. The role offers variety with tasks such as securing material availability, supporting production, and driving improvement projects. As a relationship builder, you thrive in a global environment, and your structured, meticulous, and solution-oriented approach allows you to successfully meet the needs of the business and drive change initiatives. Good knowledge of both Swedish and English is a requirement. Experience with SQL, Power BI, and the M3 business system is considered an advantage.

Who are we?

Scania, together with Cummins, has a joint venture (JV) for the development and production of XPI injection systems, with headquarters in the USA. The production company includes several functions such as development, processing, assembly, and testing. We are located in Södertälje, Sweden, Juárez, Mexico, and Columbus, USA. At our facility in Södertälje, we assemble and test Extreme Pressure Injection (XPI) injectors and fuel pumps.

We are a small production unit, which contributes to you gaining in-depth knowledge about the unit's various components and how everything is interconnected. Collaboration and community are of utmost importance to handle our challenges while having fun at work.
