System Engineer for Surveillance Radar

ABOUT THE POSITION

As a system engineer, you will work on assignments for the defense by maintaining and developing systems within surveillance radar for Sweden's airspace. In your role, together with your closest team, you will be responsible for the radar system. This means you will work with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of radar equipment to ensure that the systems function flawlessly when they are needed the most. In the role of system engineer, you are the natural bridge between the customer and the internal team. The role also includes developing and maintaining technical documentation and having ongoing contact with the customer to ensure good collaboration and customer satisfaction. You will be part of a small and competent team of technicians and other engineers where collaboration occurs both internally and externally directly with the customer.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

You will carry out your work in collaboration with your team, where you all share the responsibility for delivering the assignments the customer desires. Together, you will work to:

  • Be responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of surveillance radar systems to ensure optimal function.
  • Develop and update technical documentation and instructions related to radar equipment and system maintenance.
  • Work closely with the customer to ensure effective collaboration and maintain good customer relationships.
  • Participate in the procurement, installation, and commissioning of new radar systems and be responsible for decommissioning older systems.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

  • Has completed education in electronics, which can be from either college, university, or vocational training, or has work experience as an electrician.
  • Masters the Swedish and English languages in speech and writing as required for the role's tasks.
  • Holds a B driver's license as travel is required in the position. A personal car is not a requirement.

It is advantageous if you have:

  • Work experience in a relevant field for the position, which may include electronics, maintenance technology, or radar.
  • Experience working in or with the defense or defense industry.
